Loading times will not matter we understand about slow loading times i have a very fast pc and the other judges have good pc's as well so shouldn't be to bad for me to play so we can over look it i think.

Not to be a jerk or anything, but if you are running X10, I assume you have a top-of the line PC

My 7800GT sure didn't like X10, tell ya that much, that PC was top-of the line when I got it 1-2 years ago.

Aw, I'm right behind you. I have 2.4 ghz quad core processor (the same one i think) and 3gb ram + Vista...but with an 8500 GT

Actually, the 8500 runs surprisingly well. It's able to handle all my segments as long as I avoid large rooms with lots of stuff in it. I can play Crysis Warhead on medium settings and a few on high...

I'm really hoping to get a 9800 soon though, one way or another. I'll either get it or get it in the laptop I'm going to be hopefully getting soon...

A few questions. How are we going to be able to make a game with a satisfying story without voice acting? I seriously doubt that there will be enough time to get VO set up and to find voice actors themselves. And we are allowed to swear in the game right? A soldier in combat isn't likely to say, "Gee golly mister, that was close!"

Well, it doesn't necessarily have to have a story. I mean if you're able to then yeah get voice acting, it can only help. But it's not like you'd lose points for not having it, it'd be more like gaining extra points if you do have it.

I might try using text, but again, I'm limited by the fact that .fpi coding is beyond my current reach. Learning to make text appear might be to hard to master by January.

Lol, my computer is worse than all yours I bet. 1GB RAM, Vista Home Premium, GeForce 8400GS 512MB. DX10 and Dual Core 2GHz. Even though it's my dads I still use it a bit, as I'm saving up for an ultimate DIY computer.

I think I will enter this, although I am not good with custom x10 media I must admit

I have a question about this: Is there a violence limit? Can it be as gory or scary as it can get as I am gonna try and make this like Dead Space with a few bloodfesty encounters
