I've been experimenting around with all the scripts in X10, but I still can't find a good way to make the player temporarily immobile. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

Hm, I think there may have been something about this in the X9 forums, but couldn't swear to it....I haven't taken a shot at scripting so I wouldn't be of much help...You want to do something like when you get frozen in Bioshock or something like that? there's a command that allows you to make stuff like conveyor belts where you move forward if you step on it and all...maybe something like that only instead of forward it'd be no movement at all?

Actually, I don't want them to be literally frozen, I just want them to be forced to stand still so something can happen.

Oh. Well, either way I think the same thing would apply. In order to make him literally froze, it'd be the same thing, only with a fullscreen overlay or something.

Good point! I'll have to look for that command now.

FPSC has a command for this, you could check over the X10 command list and see if it made it into X10...

that command is not yet in FPSC X10 only X9 lee will add it but not right now best way is to write a simple freeze script to make camera stop for a sceond.

There is freeze command that has been added to x9 that allows to script the effect you want... it will be added to x10 when lee finishes the migration of the 2...

Didn't Bond1 make a Wizard that could freeze you in X9? I don't think it needed a mod?

EDIT: Found it....
