Info from Lee....

Post  uthink on Tue Dec 09, 2008 8:13 am

It looks like I will be doing some work on X10 next year and I may move the X9 variable system across. Watch the newsletter for the beta announcement on this!

Best Regards,
Lee

Variables are really really important to my game. They allow you to track all types of activity. They also allow you to expand the complexity of objectives along with about 100 other things. I hope this really happens.

Not to be a troll or anything, but Lee is not promising anything.

And I quote

I have lost a lot of respect for TGC over the past 6 months. I hope they turn around soon.

I believe he's saying that he's open to it. I wouldn't expect a commitment. It's not like he saw the question coming and was prepared for it. Obviously he needs to consider how much effort it would take blah, blah, blah, yadda, yadda, yadda. He's also committed to putting something of substance in the next newsletter. We haven't seen that in a while! LOL

Hmm...though Lee did show up and give us a comment on the TGC Forum, I've gotta admit I'm a little dubious about what exactly he's going to do for X10 and when Neutral. Basically, I'll believe it when I see it (the X10 support in general).

It's pause. He'll do one release for X10 and then back to the migration stuff.

I'm really just going by what he did with licensing. The community spoke up, he listened, and then he made changes. Not exactly what everyone wanted, but everybody was still pretty happy with what he did. Obviously that's not the same as coding, but it does speak to his commitment to try to do the right thing.
