Newsletter Issue 1

Welcome

I’m pleased to introduce you all to the first ever issue of the official FPSC X10 Forum Newsletter. It's now nearing the end of 2008, a lot of changes are coming and this is the place to be for all the latest news from the forums and its active and vibrant community.
As with all community lead publications this wouldn’t exist without your input, so if you’ve got something to announce for Issue 2 then now would be a perfect time to write to me about it – email jason_25@live.co.uk and inform us all about your projects. All issues will be released on the first of each month except this one.

FPS Creator X10 SCI-FI Competition

As you all must know there is a SCI-FI Competition going on at the moment and we have 6 people taking part so far now its not to late to join as the end date is 01/01/09 until then try and give it a go. Below you can find details on it and a link to the official thread.
Ok welcome to the forums guys this is the first of many competitions i hope will be here and will only be here only people that are signed up can enter or be judges and the prize list is growing daily.
So get cracking and have fun.

Theme
For once the theme is based around a SCIFI style game it is not often we see scifi competitions so i thought what the hell let’s give it a try so basically a scifi game with a limit of 3 levels custom media is allowed as long as you have the artists written permission.

Judging
Judges will be looking for game ingenuity, the best looking game, the most fun to play and a game that when completed gives you that “Yes i’ve done it” Feeling. You may use custom media but you must have the artists permission to use it, stock media is fine seeing as FPSC has such a large collection of SCIFI Media.

Rules
- Competition Ends 01/01/09 GMT
- Minimum number of entrants for the comp to go forward must be 5
- All entries must be done in the X10
- You may use custom media
- There will be NO stealing, pirating, or unauthorized borrowing of media in any form
- There must be a direct link to your entry.
- Remember that the forum rules still apply; in that there will be no nudity, or swearing allowed.

Next Edition

Hope you like the idea of a newsletter next edition will be much better but we still need stuff to put in do let us know what you think by emailing me at: jason_25@live.co.uk

Yeh wanted it out now to tell people in advance about next edition so i can get mroe stuff for that.

Ah, well, it worked. I have some suggestions. Should I email you like the newsletter says, or should I post here? Or send a PM?

I think we should choose a set monthly date on when the newsletter will be released. Like every 15th or the first day of the month or something.
